The Gold Note PSX-5.2 is a high-end, audio-grade external power supply. It serves as a structural performance upgrade for Gold Note’s Series 5.2 source components.
Core Audio Technologies
The engineering architecture is built around maximizing power purity and delivery speed:
- Quad-Rail Design: Features a 4-rail audio-grade power supply utilizing 2 ultra-low noise voltage regulators.
- Ultra-Stable Regulation: Limits output voltage variation to a maximum of just 0.05%.
- Noise Suppression: Achieves greater than 80dB for both line noise and common-mode noise rejection.
- Instantaneous Response: Full-power response time is clocked under 2.5 microseconds, ensuring zero lag during complex musical transients.
Key Features & Ecosystem Integration
The PSX-5.2 is designed with flexibility and convenience in mind:
- Dual-Output Architecture: Allows you to simultaneously hook up two separate 5.2 Series components. You can permanently connect one phono stage (PH-5 or PH-5.2) alongside one line-level source (CD-5, CD-5.2, HP-5.2, or DS-5.2).
- Dynamic Energy Routing: Even with two units connected, the full energy reserve automatically dedicates 100% of its power to the specific component that is actively playing music.
- Master-Slave Power Mode: An integrated smart power switch allows the PSX-5.2 to sync with your primary components. It wakes up or enters standby mode automatically when you turn the main audio unit on or off.
- Chassis Engineering: Utilizes a folded, black anodized aluminum chassis designed specifically to block external electromagnetic field interactions, lowering the noise floor.
