Pathos Classic One MK III
The most accessible Pathos product is completely new today.
The Classic One project was initially developed and promoted with the aim of making available "all Pathos quality at a budget price".
As evidenced by the thousands of units sold around the world, this concept has been well understood and appreciated by audiophiles.
The revision of the Classic One project was carried out in parallel with the development of the Logos integrated circuit and therefore benefits from many of the design achievements achieved for this latest Pathos model.
Broadening of horizons
The extension of the frequency response has also proved decisive, since the very high frequency harmonics (more precisely, their phase relationship and the so-called 'group delay'), although inaudible, are crucial for the correct reconstruction of the soundstage.
Polarity rotations begin at frequencies around 8-10kHz. A rolloff of -3dB roll at 22KHz causes a 45 ° phase delay.
Thanks to the extended frequency response, the phase response of the new Classic One is now always correct.
The right push
The new design and the increased output power to 70 watts RMS (compared to the previous 50) improve the ability to deliver high currents, which result in greater body and increased dynamics.
Compared to previous high-capacity electrolytic capacitors, the adoption of polyester capacitance improves the signal path by avoiding eddy inductive currents, which could cause a delay in the delivery of stored energy.
Finally, the Classic One is now available with new radio-controlled functions and liquid crystal display.
